A Road Traveled…

Coming out of traditional christianity has been an exciting time and it still continues!!  To walk against the tide is not easy but it is so very fulfilling by finding the real truths of my belief, my faith, and what scripture actually says.

In the 13 years of my travels down this road, so many traditions have crumpled as they must if we are to truly walk in the footsteps of our Savior.  To see what He is actually saying and requiring of us is so refreshing and I am left with a feeling of freedom not felt before.  It is not an easy road but that is what we are told by Yeshua and YHWH.  As it is written …

Matthew 7:14  (NKJV)

14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

And He also tells us why ….

Hosea 4:6  (NKJV)

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
Because you have rejected knowledge,
I also will reject you from being priest for Me;
Because you have forgotten the law of your God,
I also will forget your children.

“Because you have forgotten the Torah of your Elohim” is a better translation since the translators used the word law in place of the word Torah.  What is Torah?  It is the instructions for living given to Moses and the hebrews and the strangers among them at Mt Sinai.  It is the 1st five books of what most call the Old Testament.  And the OT is ignored by christianity as a whole even though it is over 3/4 of the whole book of scripture.  Christianity has a habit of “cherry picking” what they want to use from it.  Which is a shame really since as I have found, you can only really understand what is called the New Testament by understanding the OT.  It is one book, but they have divided it into two, and with that act have created a division the size of the Grand Canyon.  How YHWH and Yeshua must weep over what men have done!!
